The National Weather Service has confirmed it was a high end EF-3 tornado that swept through Lamar County Friday evening, injuring 10 people and damaging 50 homes.
On Nov. 4, the storm traveled north/northeast through Hopewell, Caviness, Beaver Creek and Powderly. Law enforcement said two of the 10 people injured were in critical but stable condition at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Both state and local partners are currently helping with storm response in Lamar County and Lamar County Judge Brandon Bell has declared a disaster for the area. In:
