The game will run on limited dates between April and August
The National Justice Museum has created a unique escape room based entirely in its Grade II listed prison. The city centre game will initially run between April and August, and will give participants the chance to travel back to 1830s Nottingham to solve clues whilst exploring hidden spaces of the historic gaol.
There is then further disturbance across the country when the House of Lords blocks a motion by parliament to give more men the right to vote, instead of just nobility and landowners.Participants of the game will find themselves in Nottingham’s Narrowmarsh, where a local constable has found you at a Reform Bill riot where a local pub was set ablaze. You are the main suspect and are accused of arson and manslaughter.
You must solve puzzles and gather evidence before deciding if you will stand trial to prove your innocence or try and escape your fate. The museum has created the game alongside Sacha Coward, a freelance museum professional who has produced events and built gallery interactives.
