Lincoln City and Grimsby Town back in action

“Enough is enough” is the message from a mortified Newark mum after a very smelly trip to Huttoft Beach in Lincolnshire.

She added that “pieces of faecal matter were literally sticking to my skin”. She wants to raise awareness of the “horrific levels of sewage currently polluting Huttoft Beach” she saw on Saturday, September 10. “Everyone was left with poo-stained skin and our clothes stunk awful. It’s been two days now and I still can’t get the smell out of my nails. This is a serious danger to public health, and marine life and will negatively impact local tourism. This needs to stop.”

“We all feel nauseous. We were only in the sea for a few minutes,” Emma added. “Heaven forbid the wildlife that lives there. The sea is my favourite place and it’s been utterly polluted with faeces.”Some actions won’t come into effect until 2050 with overflows still set to be discharging a toxic cocktail of chemicals and sewage into our rivers and seas in 2040.
