The co-founder of prominent indie film financing company Good Universe has exec-produced more than 30 pics in his career. Nathan Kahane was recognized as part of 2018's Variety500 presented by verizondigital

Kahane was named president of Lionsgate’s motion picture group in 2018, a move that reunites him and Joe Drake, with whom he co-founded Good Universe, the production company behind “Blockers” and “The House.

” Drake had been with Lionsgate for years, leaving in 2012 to start his own shop, then returned to the studio in October to become chairman of the motion picture group. Kahane began his entertainment career in the agent training program at ICM. Before he co-founded Good Universe, he worked in and co-founded a slew of film companies, beginning with the WB-based Canton Company, where he co-led the development and production slate. He later served as executive VP of motion pictures at Senator International, heading feature development and acquisition.
