Jimmie Johnson crashes $2.5 million car in practice but perseveres to win at the legendary Goodwood Revival.
NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson experienced an eventful race at the prestigious Goodwood Revival in West Sussex, England, this weekend. Driving the No. 46 Aston Martin DB4 GT Lightweight, Johnson initially faced a setback, crashing the $2.5 million car during a practice session for the Stirling Moss GT Extravaganza race.Despite the crash which was caused by the rainy conditions, Johnson went on to clinch victory in the race.
To be able to share a car with him and to be able to share a win together – it's gonna be a fun night.'Johnson's first appearance at the Goodwood Revival was back in 2022, where he made his debut in a Ford Galaxie 500, qualifying 6th for the St. Mary's Trophy race. Despite running 5th early in the 17-lap race, a mechanical issue with a broken exhaust header led to a 3rd place finish after quick repairs.
