NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suárez confirmed to participate in Brazilian race at historic Interlagos track.
NASCAR has confirmed that Daniel Suárez, who currently competes in the Cup Series, will participate in the Special Edition race of the NASCAR Brazil Series. The event is scheduled to take place from August 2-4 at the iconic Autódromo José Carlos Pace, widely recognized as Interlagos, in São Paulo.This race holds personal significance to Suárez due to his upcoming wedding in Brazil to fiancée Julia Piquet, who is the daughter of former F1 champion Nelson Piquet.
Chad Seigler, Vice President and Chief International Officer at NASCAR, noted the importance of such international events for NASCAR's growth strategy. He explained:'Anytime we have that opportunity to really just bring that exposure internationally, it's huge. It's an opportunity from several sides. For us, on the NASCAR side, internationally, we try to grow the brand.
