The young star, HH212, is about 1,300 light years away from us in the constellation of Orion. Thereported that the star is only around 50,000 years old and that its image could shed new light on how stars form.

The image was taken mainly at an infrared wavelength of 2.12 microns . This wavelength allows theand see the jets more clearly. The JWST is the most powerful space telescope ever built, and it can capture images that are ten times sharper than those of its predecessor, the Hubble Space Telescope.
