As per NASA, the rapidly growing supermassive black hole is not achieving as per the expectations of astronomers.
X-ray: NASA/CXC/Univ. of Nottingham/H. Russell et al.; Radio: NSF/NRAO/VLA; Image Processing: NASA/CXC/SAO/N. Wolk, although it is responsible for high levels of radiation and powerful jets, this giant black hole is not as influential as many of its counterparts in other galaxies.Quasars are rare and rapidly growing supermassive black holes pulling in lots of material while producing intense radiation and sometimes powerful jets.
The data obtained from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory along with radio data collected from the NSF’s Karl G. Jansky’s Very Large Array discovered certain aspects of the quasar’s disappointing influence on its host galaxy.Researchers used Chandra X-ray observatory to study the hot gas surrounding H1821+643 and its host galaxy. They isolated the weaker X-rays from the hot gas and found out that the quasar’s influence on its surroundings is minimal.
