The National Aeronautics and Space Administration has a rich tradition of investing in the nation's education programs and supporting the country's educators who play a key role in engaging and inspiring students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics . NASA offers education resources and materials in a variety of program areas including elementary and secondary education, higher education, informal education, and education technology.
:NASA's Educator Resource Centers are located throughout the United States, in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and in Puerto Rico. ERCs offer information about NASA and its educational resources and services. Custom designed programs to meet specific needs are available by contacting an ERC. Personnel provide in-service and pre-service training to educators using NASA curriculum support materials.
