A spacesuit glove, a model of the Hubble Space Telescope and instruments from a retired airborne observatory are among the space artifacts NASA is set to offer.
NASA's 60th screening of space artifacts for schools and museums includes an astronaut's extravehicular mobility unit glove , a spare mechanical arm from a Viking Mars lander and a scale model of the Hubble Space Telescope, among thousands of other items.
Fifteen years after NASA opened its archive of space artifacts to schools and museums, the program still has a lot to give.for its 60th screening of spent equipment, science instruments and small hardware that was flown into space. Approved educational institutions, libraries and planetariums will be able to request artifacts at no cost other than shipping and handling.
