Chez Francois Poutinerie in downtown Naperville, touted for its unique poutine cuisine and its mission of providing jobs for developmentally disabled people, is closing after just one year of business.

Chez Francois Poutinerie owner Thi Tram Nguyen, seen here carefully ladles gravy over a Montreal poutine in a photo taken earlier this year, says she's had no choice but to sell her business because it was losing money.

The mission of Chez François Poutinerie at 22 E. Chicago Ave. in downtown Naperville was to provide jobs for people with developmental disabilities, its owner said. After a short break to recover from the 80-hour weeks she’s been working, her next job will be helping her 20 interns with disabilities find new jobs, she said.
