Roundup of small news items for the Naperville area.
The Naperville Park District Police is collecting new and unwrapped toys for the 2023 DuPage County Toys for Tots program. Community members can drop off toys at six park district locations now through Saturday, Dec. 16. Collection sites are the Park District Administration Building, 320 W. Jackson Ave.; Central Maintenance Facility, 427 Martin Ave.; Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave.
The Wheaton-Naperville chapter also is collecting donations of new coats, hats, mittens, scarves and gloves. According to the chapter, new coats are especially needed for children and teens up to an adult small, but all sizes will be accepted. The chapter is also accepting monetary donations.
