A suspect is in custody in the wake of a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred in Napa County early Sunday, and alcohol is suspected as a factor, according to the California Highway Patrol.Bicyclist fatally hit on East Bay highway identified

A Toyota Tacoma southbound on Silverado Trail south of Yountville Cross Road drifted off the roadway, crashing into a tree and landing on its side around 1:06 a.m. Sunday, according to Marc Renspurger, an information officer with the CHP. A 23-year-old woman passenger from Arcata sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, Renspurger said in a press release.

Stefan Beckmann, 23, of St. Helena, was allegedly driving the Tacoma at the time of the crash, according to Renspurger.
