Actress Naomi Watts revealed a funny story from her early days with Billy Crudup in her new book, 'Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I'd Known About Menopause.' Watts was worried about concealing the marks from a menopause patch she was using, but Crudup's unexpected comment about his own gray hairs made her feel better.
Naomi Watts revealed the cheeky comment Billy Crudup made about his testicles to cheer her up when they first slept together.“I was worried that if he saw he would realize it meant I was menopausal: no longer a vibrant, fertile being,” she wrote. “Unfortunately, the patch’s adhesive leaves a mark on the skin that’s very hard to get rid of.”Naomi Watts revealed the comment Billy Crudup made about his testicles when they first slept together.
Watts remembered ripping off the patch in preparation for a hot-and-heavy evening at Crudup’s place, only to spend a long stretch of time scrubbing her skin “raw” in the bathroom so he would not see the marks. “A smile broke over his face. He seemed very relieved that the issue wasn’t a lack of desire,” she shared. “He told me he thought it was great I was taking care of myself, and he asked me how he could help.”
Watts joked that, to this day, those remain “the most romantic words” she has ever heard “onscreen or off.”
