Nearly a year after withdrawing from the French Open to prioritize her mental health, Naomi Osaka is doing her part to continue raising awareness and destigmatize mental health care.

Naomi Osaka of Japan poses with her trophy after defeating Ashleigh Barty of Australia in the women's final at the China Open tennis tournament in Beijing Oct. 6, 2019.

Since then, athletes from around the globe shared similar stories to bring attention to the issue, and Osaka hasn’t let up on her mission to continue spreading the word. "Let’s try to remove the stigma and help people have the conversation," Osaka said, adding she’s incorporated the app within her own skincare company, KINLÒ.

As part of her role, Osaka helped develop her own meditation tools, a practice she uses in her own mental health care.
