Wynonna and Ashley Judd break down in tears as their mother Naomi is inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame
Naomi Judd was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame Sunday in an emotional ceremony just one day after the star's death. Both of Judd's daughters, Wynonna and Ashley Judd, broke down in tears while accepting the honor. 'I'm sorry that she couldn't hang on until today,' Ashley said. 'Though my heart is broken I will continue to sing,' Wynonna added.
The Country Music Hall of Fame made the decision to move forward with the ceremony despite the tragic loss of Naomi, saying Saturday: 'Her triumphant life story overshadows today's tragic news'. The Hall of Fame medallion ceremony was held at the CMA Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee. Eddie Bayers, who played on many of the duo's records, Ray Charles and Pete Drake were also inducted.
