Following Namibia’s goalless draw with South Africa on the weekend, head coach Collin Benjamin claimed the Brave Warriors do not share the same fortunes as Bafana Bafana.
Collin Benjamin has claimed that Namibia are not as fortunate as South Africa when it comes to qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Currently sitting atop Group C, the Brave Warriors look set to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, unless Cameroon and Burundi play out a high-scoring draw in their qualifier on Tuesday. "It will be huge [to qualify], if you look at our history we are not as fortunate as our big brothers up here [Bafana]. We cannot just qualify like that," he said, according to"It takes a lot of hard work, if you look at our history we were there in 2008 and then in 2019.
Benjamin also bemoaned Peter Shalulile's absence in Orlando, but added that the Mamelodi Sundowns frontman's unavailability did allow him to give chances to other players coming in.
