According to the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), passenger numbers at the NAIA more than doubled 158 percent to 10,855,332 in the first three months of 2023 compared to the same period last year. | ManilaBulletin

The total was just 6 percent lower than the pre-coronavirus total of 11,587,919 travelers during the same period in 2019.

“Because domestic borders opened earlier than international borders, airlines are deploying a lot of flights right now to serve our local destinations " he explained.
