Forecasters are weighing in on whether any rain or intense heat will disrupt Independence Day celebrations.
Forecasters say temperatures in the New Jersey region will be getting hotter and humidity levels will be rising by Thursday, July 4, when Independence Day will be celebrated.In short, there’s a better chance of dry weather than wet weather on Independence Day, but forecasters can’t rule out the possibility of a stray shower or thunderstorm.
During the day on Thursday, temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s to low 90s in interior sections of New Jersey and the upper 70s along the Shore, according to the National Weather Service. Skies should be partly sunny in northern and central New Jersey and mostly sunny in South Jersey, with humidity levels rising.
