Forecasters, however, say Mother Nature may have other plans.
The good news: No one is predicting a total washout of a weekend — just isolated showers. And temperatures will likely be in the low to mid-70s, not steaming hot but comfortable. While it's still too early for forecasters to get a good handle on the Memorial Day weekend weather, they say some days could be disrupted by rain showers or thunderstorms in New Jersey and other eastern states.“Showers and thunderstorms will be possible from the upper Mississippi Valley throughout the weekend, even dampening locations across the Great Lakes,” the private weather company said.
