Two SUVs boxed in a tractor-trailer in the southbound truck lanes in Middlesex County, according to State Police.
The incident unfolded when a gray SUV and a white SUV boxed in the tractor-trailer in the right lane of the outer roadway near milepost 96.2 in Carteret at about 8:45 p.m., according toAn occupant in each SUV and the truck driver then stopped, exited their vehicles and got into what State Police called a “physical altercation” in the right lane.
The two people who got out of the SUVs then fled in their respective vehicles before troopers arrived.Anyone who witnessed the any portion of the incident is asked to contact Det. Mike Silvestre of Cranbury Station Detective Bureau at 609-860-9000 ext. 4423. Anonymous tips are welcome.
