Amir Doctry, 45, was taken into custody around 8 a.m. Monday in Pennsylvania and charged with terroristic threats, the Montclair Police Department said.
A Montclair teacher was taken into custody and placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold Monday following a series of alleged texts and social media posts in which he threatened to shoot and kill the principal of“MONTCLAIR SCHOOL SHOOTING KILLS DR. JOE. JOE IS DEAD.
After being locked out of school systems, Doctry allegedly sent harassing text messages to Putrino. The messages included profanity-laced insults and a claim that he would be Putrino’s boss “and fire him.” On Sunday, Putrino informed police of additional alarming behavior. He discovered that Doctry manages a YouTube channel where an image was posted depicting actor Denzel Washington holding a gun with the caption, “ALL PARENTS IN MONTCLAIR,” according to police.
