The Westfield resident was on spring break from Ohio State University when he died at a hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the report said.
Multiple friends and other Westfield residents posted on social media that Meacock was jumping between balconies because he was trying to help someone who dropped her phone or ID, the Post reported.Meacock’s family and Ohio State University announced his death earlier this month. But, neither the university nor the obituary released by the family said how the college student died or the location of his death.
“The Ohio State community has suffered a tragic loss, and we extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Henry Meacock,” university officials said. “Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this exceptionally difficult time.”
