N.J. school closings, delayed openings due to blizzard for Monday (01/31/2022)
from a blizzard over the weekend, some districts have started calling for school closures and delayed openings for Monday, Jan. 31.
The monster storm rolled over the entire Garden State, but the Jersey Shore took the brunt, with some areas of southern Ocean Countymade for treacherous conditions in places, as some side roads hadn’t been completely cleared. Bitter cold temperatures well below freezing are expected again Sunday night and black ice could be a concern on Monday morning.
School districts in the following counties have made announcements about closings or delayed openings. These lists will be updated as additional announcements are made:
