Thank you for the love and support of her and her work.”
The actor’s family quoted her in the announcement: “I love doing drama but I’m always hired to do comedy.”Slayton-Hughes studied drama at Syracuse University, where her peers were Peter Falk and Jerry Stiller. After spending decades acting in community theater, her screen acting career started in the 1980s, when she was in her 50s.
She made appearances in films like “Mafia on the Bounty” and “Shoot the Moon” . Slayton-Hughes moved to Los Angeles when she was 70 after booking a role on “Nash Bridges.”
