A 24-year-old Paterson man wounded by gunfire earlier this month has been charged with attempted murder after investigators determined he fired the first shot at a man who returned fire, authorities said Tuesday. Dhey Alcantara is charged with first-degree attempted murder and two counts of second-degree weapons offenses, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.
