Juliano Gross was arrested on federal charges on Tuesday in Kearny. He admitted to being inside the Capitol, the FBI says.
Pictures of Juliano Gross, of Kearny, N.J., from the FBI's criminal complaint against him for charges accusing him of being inside the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot.Federal authorities arrested a Hudson County man Tuesday on four federal charges accusing him of trespassing and disorderly conduct inside the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021 riot.
The FBI first interviewed Gross in late January 2021 at his Kearny home, and he said he indeed went to Washington with his mother to attend President Donald Trump’s Jan. 6 rally that precipitated the Capitol invasion. He live streamed the rally on TikTok to raise money through donations, and then walked to the Capitol and entered it and walked around, the FBI said.
Although his account was banned, the FBI says they found footage from Gross’s TikTok from “citizen sleuths” who preserved Jan. 6 videos and posted them on Twitter. In others, Gross was in the Senate chamber, gallery, saying, “Open the door! Open the door!” and while exiting the chamber saying, “Our Capitol! Our Capitol! We take back our country today!”
