Investigators found 80 videos showing sexual assaults on the Mays Landing man's cell phone.

A New Jersey man has been sentenced to 25 years in state prison for videoing a child as he sexually assaulted her over a multi-year period.

Christian Navarrete, 39, of Mays Landing, will have to serve at least 21 years, three months before he is eligible for parole, theAuthorities were tipped off to the sexual assaults on Dec. 19, 2019 and later found 80 videos of the victim on Navarrete’s cell phone, officials saidof a minor, sexual assault of a minor and for endangering the welfare of a child by filming her in a prohibited sexual act.

Navarrete admitted to assaults between July 18, 2017 and December 15, 2019, but prosecutors said “his criminal actions took place over the course of six years.”
