Daaim Boykins was arrested Friday and charged with fatally running down 36-year-old Schwnaire Jones of Willingboro.
by a driver who fled the scene, authorities announced the arrest of her boyfriend on murder and related charges.
Boykins was being held Sunday in the Union County Jail pending a pre-trial detention hearing to be scheduled early this week in state Superior Court in Elizabeth, Assistant Prosecutor Michael Sheets, a spokesman for the office, told NJ Advance Media. Sheets did not know whether a lawyer had come forward to represent Boykins.
Sheets told NJ Advance Media that Boykins and Jones had been in her Toyota Camry arguing before she got out and went onto the sidewalk.
