The 31-year-old from Sewell walked out of the gift shop with Harry Potter-themed Christmas ornaments, phone cases, socks, a scrapbook and a throw blanket, according to security at the Orlando theme park.
The 31-year-old from the Sewell section ofbegan his $827.50 shoplifting spree at the Orlando theme park around 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 when he walked up to a Christmas ornament display and pulled four from the shelf — one representing each of the houses in the popular book and movie series — Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Griffendor and Slytherin, according to an an arrest affidavit.
The New Jersey man then strolled over to a phone case display — choosing one Death Eaters case and one Ravenclaw case from the rack — and stashing them in his bag. Next, the Garden State resident decided he needed more ornaments and went back to that display to add a few more to his collection. The Gloucester County man wrapped up his visit by trying to steal two additional items — a Harry Potter scrapbook, which he concealed under his arm and a Harry Potter throw blanket, according to a security guard who was watching.
