Authorities said the man pistol whipped at least two store clerks before making off with money from the cash registers.
A Camden County man pleaded guilty last week to robbing three corner stores in Philadelphia earlier this year, officials from the U.S. District Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia announced Tuesday.
Authorities accused Stanley of three separate armed robberies from earlier this year over a two-week period that left a few store clerks injured as Stanley and accomplices made off with money from cash registers. Seven days later on Jan. 28, Stanley and an unidentified co-conspirator entered another corner store at 2000 East Orleans Street, displayed a firearm and forcibly pulled the employee away from the register area by the shirt and pistol whipped him, authorities said. While Stanley stood guard over the store employee, his accomplice stole about $500 from the register, authorities said.
