Authorities have identified the New Jersey man who is among the three killed in an avalanche while climbing a mountain in Washington state. Yun Park, 66, of Palisades Park, was among six people attempting to climb the Northeast Couloir of Colchuck Peak when the lead climber triggered the avalanche about 1 p.m. on Sunday, said Sgt. Jason Reinfield, a spokesman for the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office.
Also killed in the avalanche were Jeannie Lee, 60, of Bayside, New York, and Seong Cho, a Korean national who was residing in West Hartford, Connecticut, officials said. If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
