As 20 Victorians become millionaires in winning syndicate after $40 million draw.
Thursday night's big winner was an unregistered player from New South Wales, meaning officials had no way of contacting the ticketholder to let them know of their life-changing windfall.
"Imagine going to bed tonight not knowing you've just won $20 million? That's the reality for one New South Wales player after scoring a slice of the division one prize in tonight's Powerball draw," The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said. As for the 20-person group syndicate - they won multiple divisional prizes, bolstering the group's total windfall to $20,449,469.40.While syndicates are often set up between colleagues or friends, this group are not believed to know each other.
