A video showing a vendor doling out $4,500 worth of beer in a section of Citizens Bank Park went viral Thursday. Turns out, a nameless fan was feeling generous during Philadelphia’s 7-1 win over Miami on Wednesday. [“Have your IDs out,” Douvalsaint can be heard saying on the video. “Somebody purchased this for the whole section... Free beer! Courtesy of a gentleman that doesn’t want to be named.”
This was the icing on the cake for Phillies fans, who went viral for another reason on Wednesday. After infielder Bryson Stot hit a grand slam that made the game 7-0, South Philly erupted as Stot connected with the ball, reminiscent of Bryce Harper’s home run in Game 3 of the World Series that had fans going so wild, that they falsely believed it registered in a Penn State earthquake monitor.If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
