As demand for My Hero Academia soars, VIZMedia is getting ready to release a massive box set that will contain the popular manga's first 20 volumes.
As the beloved superhero manga series, My Hero Academia, continues to ride its wave of international popularity, a new collection will make it easier than ever for new readers to jump on board. With the manga and anime adaptation continuing to draw in fans across the globe, Viz Media is releasing a brand-new box set of the first few volumes. For the first time, readers will be able to own the first 20 volumes in one oversized collection.
My Hero Academia comes from mangaka Kōhei Horikoshi who writes and illustrates the series. Set in a world where most people are naturally born with powers, or"Quirks", the manga largely centers around the Quirkless Izuku"Deku" Midoriya. Though born without a special ability, Deku gets the chance of a lifetime when the No. 1 hero in the world, All Might, chooses to pass on his power onto him.
Now's the perfect time to be releasing a collection like this. My Hero Academia has climbed in popularity since it began publication in 2014. The manga has sold over 10 million copies in the United States and over 65 million copies worldwide. It's even got several spinoff books, such as the fan-favorite My Hero Academia: Vigilantes side series. My Hero Academia has only grown its fanbase once adapted to anime, which led to three feature-length films.
As one of the most popular manga franchises, Viz wants to ensure as many people can get in on the fun with this new collection. Fans can pre-order the My Hero Academia box set, which will be available October 18, 2022.
