Dear Care and Feeding: I'm worried that with this new look, no one will take my daughter seriously.
She doesn’t like it when I try to get her to not wear them . She goes everywhere with them on! Not just to parties but to the store—even to visit me at work to see my coworkers. I just think they are ridiculous. How can I get her to stop wearing them?She’s 20. You can’t. I’m sorry—I know this a hard pill to swallow. And while it’s true that eyelash gluesometimes cause problems, especially if too much is applied or it’s used carelessly, I’m pretty sure you cannot convince her of that.

You no longer get a vote about how she looks, much less veto power. What she does to adorn her body is nobody’s business but hers now.
