SEREMBAN: From next Monday (June 22), Muslim couples in Negri Sembilan can hold their nikah or marriage ceremony, says Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

They would however be required to adhere to a strict set of rules which include not having more than 10 individuals present if the ceremony is held at the state or district Islamic Affairs offices.

Couples would among others be required to obtain prior approval from the department before they organise the ceremony. The hosts would not be allowed to hold a kenduri and everyone should disperse after the ceremony concludes.
