NEW YORK (AP) — Music icons Sting , Billie Eilish , Lady Gaga , and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are among the star-studded lineup set to perform at FireAid, a benefit concert dedicated to aiding wildfire relief efforts in the Los Angeles area. Originally slated for the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, the concert has expanded to encompass both the Intuit Dome and the adjacent Kia Forum on January 30th.
The event will be broadcast live and streamed across multiple platforms, including Apple Music, Apple TV, Max, iHeartRadio, KTLA+, Netflix/Tudum, Paramount+, Prime Video, the Amazon Music Channel on Twitch, SiriusXM, Spotify, SoundCloud, Veeps, and YouTube. Select AMC Theatre locations throughout the United States will also showcase the performance.All proceeds generated from FireAid will be channeled towards wildfire relief, with the Annenberg Foundation overseeing distribution for both immediate assistance and long-term initiatives aimed at preventing future fire disasters. The impressive lineup also features musical legends Joni Mitchell, Katy Perry, Lil Baby, Pink, Rod Stewart, Gwen Stefani, Green Day, Jelly Roll, Gracie Abrams, Stephen Stills, Stevie Nicks, Tate McRae, and Earth, Wind & Fire. Additional artists are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. This monumental event is being orchestrated by Shelli, Irving, and the Azoff family, in collaboration with Live Nation and AEG Presents.The devastating wildfires have prompted widespread support from celebrities and entertainment organizations. Beyoncé, through her charitable foundation, BeyGOOD, has pledged $2.5 million to the newly established LA Fire Relief Fund. The Recording Academy and MusiCares launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort, commencing with a $1 million donation. Thanks to additional contributions, they have already disbursed $2 million in emergency aid. The 67th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 2nd at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, will proceed as planned, with the Recording Academy emphasizing its commitment to supporting wildfire relief efforts
