Sen. Lisa Murkowski hosted a luncheon in Fairbanks to speak with constituents about the work being done in Washington D.C. and hear about their needs and concerns.
FAIRBANKS, Alaska - Sen. Lisa Murkowski , R- Alaska , told Fairbanks reporters Wednesday her Interior visit would include updates on the state’s missile defense system, veterans health care, and what’s happening with Ukrainians in Alaska who moved to the state following the start of the war with Russia.
“ go up and see the proposal for the Veterans Cemetery, is Greely and Delta,” Murkowski said. “Get a little bit of an update on what is happening with our missile defense system, as well as some of the health care issues and meeting with some in the Ukrainian community. As we know, there’s a there’s a strong number of Ukrainian families who have been here since the war began, and a lot of anxiety within those good people about what their future may hold.” The comments came after the senator updated constituents on work being done in Washington D.C. during a luncheon in Fairbanks.
