After taking several weeks to tweak their image, offerings and operations, Murdoch’s Backyard Pub has reopened as Murdoch’s Market Bistro with an aim to provide an upscale, more adult-centered experience for their diners.Must-read stories and news to know from the Cy-Fair area
The new Murdoch’s features raised flower beds with herbs and vegetables and nearby seating for visitors. All condiments, including ketchup, mustard and pickles, are made on site and can be bought by customers alongside a variety of other fresh-made items.
The menu for Murdoch’s will also see an overhaul alongside its fresh, in-house ingredients as chef and daughter Sarah Franke focuses more on a seasonal menu with charcuterie, fresh sandwiches and homemade bread pudding and cookies. Murdoch’s also offers beer and wine, with its tap selection shortened from more than 20 beers to a concise eight.
