Former Eagles standout murdered by serial killer? Authorities are looking into it.

Johnson, a 55-year-old Los Angeles native, was beaten and stabbed to death, according to LA police. The other victims were shot, beaten and stabbed. Johnson, a Los Angeles native, played two seasons in Philadelphia from 1995-1996. He racked up six sacks and forced one fumble in 1995, but he recorded just one sack in 1996 and was released before the end of the season. He played his final NFL season in 1997 with the Raiders, amassing 11 tackles with zero sacks. In college, Johnson played with Giants legend Michael Strahan on Texas Southern’s defensive line. A fourth-round pick of the Patriots in 1993, Johnson was cut before his rookie season and bounced around practice squads for three seasons before latching on with the Eagles in 1995.
