Cath and Lynn, from Crosby, are being challenged to Double The Money
Cath Doyle, 40, and Lynn Nolan, 48, first met six years ago when taking their sons to the same football game. They then not only became close friends but co-workers when they decided to quit their jobs to open a bar together on Liverpool Road, Crosby .
The friends are now taking part in a reality TV show competition, that will see them go up against 12 other pairs of contestants for a chance to win more than £20,000. Tonight, on Thursday, May 9 at 8pm, Cath and Lynn will be on our screens on Channel 4 taking part in Double the Money alongside host Sue Perkins. On the show, Sue Perkins set to contestants a new challenge each week to double their money within a set amount of time.
In this first round, teams are given an initial starting sum of £250. They have 36 hours to double it to £500 and get through to the next round of the competition. Anyone who fails to double the money in the time will be eliminated. The Queens Nook is number one out of all the bars in Crosby on TripAdvisor. One reviewer said: "Crosby’s little gem! Such a great place, the food is amazing, bar is great, staff are the loveliest in Crosby. The quiz night is a particular highlight! We’ve been so many times now and totally recommend!"
