Anna Lykova says she has discovered a simple way to make savings on a weekly basis after struggling to make ends meet when she was younger
Many of us are familiar with the shock of a high supermarket bill after our weekly food shop. However, one savvy shopper has shared her secret to cutting her grocery bills in half - from approximately £100 per week to just £50.
She's managed to snag everything from a £3 duck to a prime rib joint for around £7, making yellow sticker shopping a regular part of her routine to maintain consistent savings. "I started yellow stickers when I was a poor young professional back in London about 20 years ago," she explained. Instagram "There was a Tesco on my way home that did reduced food and that's what fed me," Anna shared with money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk.
Anna also revealed that she "never judges", especially after an incident in which she was "knocked down" by another bargain hunter. "I once got knocked down by a woman in Tesco during a Sunday reduction," she recalled. "This was before they introduced queues and restriction on items." She further added: "Places like B&M and Home Bargains are great for cleaning stuff - I use Zoflora and Air Wick plug ins and they are so much cheaper. Tesco with a Clubcard is brilliant but I use the Latest Deals app to make sure I compare prices."
