'We've both had cocaine and we're both alcoholics': Mum's response to cops after being arrested for attempted murder of boyfriend
A mum responded "that's heavy that" when police told her she was being arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Emma Walsh stabbed boyfriend Gary Morgan in the heart after returning home from watching football in the pub.
"Dad, is he ok? Please let me know. We've both had cocaine and we're both alcoholics. We were at it every day "It's hard. Please come on baby." She then arrived at Wavertree Road Police Station shortly after midnight, where she was further arrested on suspicion of murder following Mr Morgan's death in hospital. The defendant "became extremely upset, slumped down and started crying".
The killer appeared to be crying in the dock with her head in her hands as the clip was aired. In it, she added: "He's going blue in the face, he's just cold." Mr Taylor had been with Mr Morgan and Walsh as they watched the match in the back room of the Belmont, the West Derby Road pub being "quite busy because it was Grand National weekend". He said: "There was no argument throughout the day or night, it was a good day."
