The new DoctorStrange in the Multiverse of Madness Funko Pops include an adorably gruesome Dead Strange figure.
Inspired by Benedict Cumberbatch’s undead turn in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Funko releases a new Dead Strange Pop figure. After making his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in 2016’s Doctor Strange, Cumberbatch has gone on to play his quick-witted sorcerer, who has to be “the one holding the knife,” in three films .
Funko is one of the best-selling vinyl figure manufacturers on the planet, working with the biggest studios to create detailed collectibles of fan-favorite characters and/or real-world human beings. Given Disney’s influence on popular culture, Funko works with Marvel Studios as much as any studio in the industry; new Funko Pops! hit the market following or in promotion of new projects.
While Dead Strange isn’t technically a zombie, this isn’t the first time Funko has released an undead Strange figure. The fifth episode of Disney+’s What If…? explores a universe where the bulk of the Avengers are infected by a virus and become zombies. Following the premiere of “What If...Zombies?!,” Funko dropped Zombie Strange.
