Officials of the Utah Department of Transportation said that blowing snow will pose challenges in the eastern Uintas.A heavy burst of snow is set to sweep through Southern Utah early Friday and persist into Saturday, widely affecting roadways, especially on elevated routes. Strong downslope and easterly canyon winds will remain through the forecasted period, with peak gusts to have come early Friday morning, particularly in the area between Brigham City and Centerville.Additionally, motorists traveling along portions of US-6 between Price and Green River in Central Utah face crosswind hazards through Friday morning.

UDOT expects the following routes to experience weather-related traffic hazards through noon on Saturday:I-80, Through Salt Lake Valley; Echo Jct to WY borderUS-89, Through Cache valley and south to Centerville; Panguitch to Mt Carmel Jct US-191, WY border to north of Vernal; Duchesne to Price ; SR-46 Junction to North of Monticello (currentlySR-31, Entire route
