At least five people have been arrested during protests on campus in the last two days.
A large crowd of people gathered on campus Thursday evening to support Palestine and called for a ceasefire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war.
Ben Johnson, a spokesperson with the university, told 10TV in a statement that Ohio State rules prohibit camping and overnight events. Those arrested include a graduate student, a university employee and someone not affiliated with the university.On Tuesday, two people were arrested during a protest on campus. About 50 protesters gathered at a campus amphitheater to share stories about their connections to the Palestinian people before marching.RELATED:The three people were issued multiple warnings to leave before they were arrested, Johnson said.
Student protests over the Israel-Hamas war have popped up on an increasing number of U.S. college campuses following last week’s arrest of more than 100 demonstrators at Columbia University.
