Officers responded at 1:43 p.m. Dec. 9 to the Michaels store when employees spotted a couple there who they suspected of shoplifting Christmas trees. This time, they did not. However, store employees reported the same couple entered the store together at 2:20 p.m. Dec. 7 and separated to shop. The male left the store with an artificial tree they did not purchase. An employee recognized them as the same couple who took another tree Dec. 3 under similar circumstances. Police are investigating.

Gabès store employees reported two women entered their store wearing masks shortly before 7 p.m. Dec. 20. They tried on Carhart coats and left the store with them without paying for the coats. One was wearing a grey hoodie and the other a pink bonnet. Police are investigating the incident. EMS transported a Warrensville Heights woman, 29, to Ahuja Medical Center after she reported being struck by a passing vehicle’s mirror at 7:12 p.m. Dec. 16. The woman was standing outside a store holding her one-year-old daughter when the incident occurred. She had a bruised hip, and her daughter appeared to be uninjured.
