The Xenia post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says Elijah Powell, 19, was driving a 2004 Honda Accord on U.S. 42 when it struck a 2022 Honda Civic attempting to turn left. That vehicle was driven by Melissa Fields, 49, of Wilmington.

Fields was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where she later died from injuries. Powell was treated at the scene for possible injuries.
