Six fire engines were sent to battle the blaze in the early hours of this morning
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service say they have six fire engines on the way to a fire in the open on Salmon Lane in Annesley, close by to the M1. While they deal with the incident they have appealed to people to avoid the area and close windows and doors if you can see or smell smoke.
There were no further details given but so far traffic does not appear to have been affected in the area or on the M1 motorway. The announcement about the fire was made on social media, on both Facebook and Twitter around 11pm on Sunday . Their attendance follows an incident earlier on Sunday just five miles away in which firefighters dealt with a
that threatened nearby homes. The fire service added that a joint fire and police investigation will take place on Monday.
